Introduce Yourself – Say Hello in Your Own Way

Introduce Yourself – Say Hello in Your Own Way

Hello and welcome to Rare Voices! 👋

If you are new here, this is a place where you can simply say hello.

You do not need to write your entire life story.

You do not need to share your diagnosis.

And you definitely do not need to find the “perfect” words.

Just introduce yourself in whatever way feels comfortable to you.

If you are not sure what to write, here are a few ideas:

  • What name would you like us to call you?

  • Where in the world are you from?

  • What brought you to Rare Voices?

  • Are you living with a rare disease, supporting someone you love, or still searching for answers?

  • What are your hobbies or interests?

  • What is one small thing that can make a difficult day a little better?

You can answer one question.

You can answer all of them.

Or you can completely ignore my list and simply write:

“Hi, I’m here.”

That counts too. 😊

I will start.

My name is Daniel. I live in Germany, I live with a rare disease myself, and I created Rare Voices because I believe nobody should feel completely alone with their story.

I love photography, nature, cycling and looking at the night sky. I am also the proud human companion of a small dog named Liza — although I strongly suspect she considers the relationship the other way around. 😄

Now it is your turn, if you feel comfortable.

Say hello in your own way. We are glad you are here.

Daniel
