Especially not when something rustles somewhere in the tall grass.

Then, suddenly, she appears — the great hunter. 🐭🐶

Her ears are on high alert, her nose disappears between the grasses and wildflowers, and for a few minutes, the rest of the world simply no longer exists. No path, no human, no sense of time. Just Liza and that one probably highly suspicious mouse.

But I don’t actually believe Liza wants to hurt it. Quite the opposite. She would probably love to say:

“Come out! I only want to play!”

What the mouse thinks of this offer is easy to imagine. It is probably sitting somewhere deep in the grass, hoping that this little whirlwind in the pink harness will eventually disappear.

And Liza?

She keeps searching. Full of enthusiasm, hope, and that very special look that says:

“I know exactly that you’re in there!”

In the end, the mouse usually wins. But Liza still walks away happy.

After all, tomorrow is another day.

And somewhere out there, another mouse is surely waiting for a completely unplanned playdate. ❤️🐾

CancelShare this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit
