But many of the experiences of people living with rare diseases are surprisingly similar.
The search for answers.
The need to be understood.
The wish to connect with someone who truly knows what this journey can feel like.
Over the past weeks, I have been reaching out to patient organizations and rare disease communities in different parts of the world.
Every new conversation reminds me why international connection matters.
A person in Germany may learn something from a patient in Australia.
A family in Spain may find hope in a story from South Korea.
An organization in the United States may have an idea that inspires a community somewhere else.
Rare diseases may be rare individually — but together, we are a global community. 💜
With RareDiseasesLensMagic1974, I want to help build these bridges across borders: connecting patients, families, advocates and organizations, sharing experiences and making rare voices more visible.
